Double C began his deejay career in 1995. In the past twelve years, he has performed in front of major acts including Jay-Z, Kanye West, Timbaland, Rihanna Teairra Mari, Q of 112, Vinny from Naughty by Nature, Jin, Kardinal Offishall, Saukrates, Snow and Glen Lewis. He has also headlined parties with DJ’s such as Absolut (Hot 97 NYC).
Double C’s foray into the hip-hop scene in Toronto has enabled him to perform at some of the cities finest venues, including The Guvernment, The Docks, Budo Liquid Theatre, Inside Lounge, and his current residency, Silk Lounge. He has also toured Germany in July '07 for the first MIC Perri tour.
In the year 2000, Double C was the host of a hip-hop show on Energy Radio entitled “The Energy Radio Street Jam”
One of the turning points in Double C’s career was when he met and befriended MIC Perri (aka MC Flipside). At the time of their initial meeting, Flipside was touring the globe performing at venues in numerous cities while Double C quietly began to assemble a studio and formed a production company entitled ‘Urban Joints Music’. The friendship between the two hip-hop aficionados grew and the eventuality that led them to step inside the studio together was fuelled by MIC Perri’s desire to fulfill a childhood dream to release a hip-hop album. The timing was perfect.
The past few years have been a whirlwind for Double C as he has seen some of his productions get regular spins on the radio. In addition, he contributed to the completion of MIC Perri’s debut album entitled ‘Mind Control’. While helping to produce the album, Double C had the opportunity to work with Danny Fernandes, Royce Da 5’9”, Inspectah Deck
The stage has been set and the road is ready to be traveled.
